What is your superpower?
My superpower has been realizing that it’s not about being perfect but trying to do better. Progress always over perfection. My work motto has always been driven by Maya Angelou: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” In so many ways we all know better. KBH Jewels was launched to do better.
Who are some of the Wonder Women in your life?
My mother and daughter are first and foremost and all of the amazing Wonder Women we get to work with on a daily basis and feature in this series.
What do you hope the next generation of Wonder Women accomplishes?
My mother encouraged me to get on the field and play. She taught me to never sit idly on the sidelines and that if you want something you have to make that happen for yourself. Life is what you make of it and I hope the next generation of Wonder Women grows up knowing that we are capable of everything and anything and it's our place to take it.
How can women uplift and celebrate each other?
My female friendships and relationships have truly been some of the most rewarding and lifesaving experiences. When we love, celebrate and support each other we always win.
Wonder Women also need a break. How do you recharge?
I think we need to listen to our bodies and understand that it’s ok to say No. It’s OK to need a break and to take that break. Quality time with my family and friends is always something that recharges my spirit and heart and a great massage never hurts:-).
